OUR WORK ... Your Inspiration!

Consistent visuals and frequent ‘reminders’ are important for businesses, organizations, events and campaigns…

A new business and a new look. When Jodi came into The Holmestead, we sat down with her and created her logo for her new store Thirteen & One. The next step was to get her ready for her grand opening with window lettering. Here is the results. Oh and we added the address above the door to make Thirteen & One easier to find!

What more can be said...

Look at what Warkworth Arts & Heritage Centre set up for an artist show.

Your imagination and our process can make anything possible. The Holmestead produced the vinyl lettering and the gallery produced this unique application.

A cool approach to a presentation - large format, full colour posters mounted on foam core and taped together to create a 3 panel display. All the content is set up as the client needs. The best part - no need to buy an expensive 3-panel display unit that may never be used again.

The Holmestead now offers 15pt coated card stock for business cards. We still have our regular 12pt card stock, but we can produce 15pt cards – right in house – for those who prefer a more substantial business card. Business cards are usually produced within two business days and in most cases there is no charge for art. Come in and see us for your next business card requirement!

Loyalty cards are a magnificent way to tell you customers "Thank you" as well as encourage them to return at eary chance! So many options and you decide how you want to 'mark' the cards – initials, stamp or clever hole punches.

The Holmestead was asked to do creative and printing for Northumberland County's Buy Northumberland Campaign. It was great fun and the campaign is taking off with businesses and consumers alike jumping onboard! With pledge cards with seven different messages, table cards, pull up banners, pledge pads, ballot boxes, bag stickers, posters, window clings and advertising, The Holmestead was able to deliver and help the campaign get off the ground.

Community Care Northumberland has undergone a branding exercise recently and one of the intiatives is to make the branding visible in all the offices. The Holmestead was happy to help by supplying attractive, wall displays with replaceable panels (as stats change). Installation was done by Freeman Holmes. Displays will be in the Brighton and Colborne offices for clients and volunteers to enjoy.

Rabethge's Jewellery likes to keep things elegant. The Holmestead was very excited to assist with materials for Women's Weekend and their annual Men's Shopping Night.

The Holmstead was pleased to work with Central Hastings Support Network to create a new logo for their organization. The image to the left was the final resuplt. Thank you to all the dedicated volunteers of this community organization for choosing The Holmestead to help them create their new look.

Unique approaches to getting the word out there about your services and products. A simple, cost-effective method is cards, ranging in sizesfrom 8.5"x11" to 5.5" x 8.5" to 4" x 6" with a small pad - business card size. The card can be colourful to catch attention and the pads black & white to keep the cost reasonable. Everything will promote your branding and sizing would be based on where you will place the info cards. Restaurants, bulletin boards, etc. Chris Uens of Uens Landscaping produces a winter and a summer info card to promote his services.

When two outstanding organizations such as Warkworth Community Service Club and The Rotary Club of Campbellford came together to do an event, The Holmestead was honoured to help them out. Tickets and posters were produced with fresh graphics for the 2014 At Your Service Concert.

Haute Goat developed their ingenious logo with help from a designer in Toronto. Now as they come up with more and more products, The Holmestead works with the logo and creates everything from imprinted aprons, to soap wraps, jar and packaging labels and more. Haute Goat is one more example of excellence right here in Trent Hills!

Incredible Edibles Festival is the new incredible event in Campbellford! The Holmestead was very lucky to be included in the first year for this event. We developed the logo and all the materials working with the incredible ladies that came up with this event. There was strategic planning to ensure cost-effective measures were in place for future years such as signage that could be used year after year.

Window lettering that works can make visitors and customers at ease with knowing where they need to be. Thank you to partnering BMR and Lisa Thompson for installation of new window lettering at Campbellford Memorial Hospital Emergency Room.

Window wraps are a great way to save energy, attractively decorate windows and still be able to see outside. Graphic can be whatever you want! Applied to the exterior of the window, these durable vinyl graphics make saving energy and boosting your product more efficient and affordable.

Thank you to Ben and Mario of Benjamin Graphics for partnering on this project.

The Holmestead was honoured to be asked to develop the visuals for the Dr. Joe’s 13 in ’13 fundraising campaign to raise funds for priority medical equipment for Campbellford Memorial Hospital. Our own Michael Krysak came up with the striking image that was printed on shirts for Dr. Joe to wear in 13 half marathons over the next 12 months.

We also developed a Facebook page so the public could support Dr. Joe in his endeavour.

Our local theatre, the ARON, recently received an upgrade to their seating. Troops of volunteers worked feverishly to remove old seats, clean, install carpeting and install refurbished seats. The Holmestead was happy to put together materials to encourage patrons to come back to the theatre and enjoy all the upgrades done over the last two years. Thank you to the volunteer models in the photo of the new seats while The Holmestead took pictures.

Back lit signage that carries your business branding will give exposure and information, night or day. The sign to the left was a collaborative effort – design by The Holmestead, output by BMR Mfg. and installation by Steve Stapley & Sons. This huge sign illuminates the evening and catches attention.

When Dr. Pallin purchased his new office on Front Street in Campbellford for Campbellford Optometry, the previous owner left a backlit sign set up. Again working with Lisa at BMR Mfg., The Holmestead developed the art and BMR produced the inserts and installed them at Dr. Pallin's office.

Organizations often require campaigns to bring awareness of the benefits of membership. The main benefit is the experience of existing members and resource materials to help syrup producers be their most productive. In the case above, Ontario Maple Syrup Producers’ Association approached The Holmestead for ideas to launch a full-scale membership drive. Starting with a visual to attract attention and start conversation, the campaign began with a simple thought: “Tap into the knowledge”. Pictured left are Schellé Holmes and Alice Potter at the 2013 OMSPA meeting in Campbellford, Ontario.

An established international corporation wanted to update and freshen their corporate image. Working with Ron Waddling, The Holmestead rebranded Tippet-Richardson Overseas to Tippets World. Logo, tag line “It’s your move” and branding images were developed, and are now displayed and used throughout North America and Britain. The Holmestead also helped to develop advertising for North America and Europe for trade magazines such as FIDI.

Sometimes it is difficult for a business to identify exactly what they do and need to promote. The Holmestead often works with their clients to determine what part of their business needs to be promoted and helps find the best source to help market the business.

An excellent example is Earl’s Lock & Door Services. Brian, owner of Earl's, came in and said he wanted a pamphlet for his locksmith business. Within a short time it became apparent that Earl's was more than just locks, and his niche in his profession was the security options he offered, such as on the spot welding for fence locks, door repairs, etc.

A pamphlet was prepared for Brian that highlighted the security services he offered, and yes, also addressed the locksmith side of the business. The first month this pamphlet was distributed, Earl’s experienced a significant boost in business!
