The Holmestead is proud to sponsor the Best Photograph category at the Spirit of the Hills Maple Syrup Festival Juried Art Show.2016 was oursecond year sponsoring. Warkworth photographer Carey Campbell Dinkel's Nature's Embrace was named best photograph.
“A captivating composition, beautifully organic with branches like tendrils. The branches assume human forms – very visceral,” James Campbell commented. THis like most events in our community would not happen without the volunteers. Thank you.


In 2015, The Holmestead was proud to sponsor many events in the Trent Hills area such as The Incredible Edibles Festival, The Campbellford BIA Waterfront Festival and once again tiff at the Aron. 


On October 20th, the 8th Annual Bridge Hospice W8 Running Events took place in Warkworth. Thanks to the tireless efforts of many volunteers,this annual event is one of the many fundraisers for The Bridge Hospice. The Holmestead was proud to help w

ith a new logo, marketing materials, photography and gathering sponsors. Working with John Charlton Web Design, the W8 Running Events has a Website. It was a magical morning. 2014 marks the 10th Anniversary of the W8 Running Events, thanks to Bryce Miller and the many dedicated volunteers.



The Campbellford Fair Photography Competition continues to grow and the quality of the entries is demonstrated below.

Since 2012, The Holmestead has happily sponsored the category “Colour Makes It Beautiful” and it does indeed. Congratulations to the winners. Job well done!

In 2012 The Holmestead sponsored the Customer First Business Excellence Award. It was presented to Fern Julia of TD Canada Trust, Campbellford.

Annually, The Holmestead sponsors a Giving Tree to collect toys and non-perishable food items for Community Living. Thank you to all those visitors that contributed! 


The Holmestead was a Gold Sponsor for the Havelock Country Idol to benefit Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation and Schellé and Gloria volunteered the day of the event working with Catherine Holt, Jennifer Goheen and so many more dedicated volunteers. A great time and great event!

The Holmestead has been a proud contributor to Percy Agricultural Society for the Warkworth Fall Fair since 2009. Working with all the great folks in PAS has been a great experience and Tracy Russell says, "Warkworth Fall Fair has the best looking materials of any local fair!" It takes a team to make that possible and The Holmestead is proud to be part of the team.
