Since opening in January, 2011, The Holmestead: Print & Business Services has been recognized for their unique offering and excellent customer service by placing in the top five finalists for the Northumberland Bear’s Lair Entrepreneurial Competition, and being nominated in two categories for the 2011 Trent Hills & District Chamber of Commerce Business Excellence Awards.
The Holmestead: Print & Business Services is owned by Schelle Holmes. Ms. Holmes started in the graphic arts industry in Toronto in 1986. She has been the graphic designer, the manager, and the marketing person for small- and medium-sized businesses all over the GTA and here in Trent Hills. She and her husband, Freeman Holmes, moved to Trent Hills in 2008. Volunteering and working with community organizations such as the Warkworth Business Association for which she is a Director, Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation, Percy Agricultural Society, Brighton Arts Council where she is the Membership Director, and Trent Hills & District Chamber of Commerce where she is Vice President of the Board of Directors, has given her an understanding and the wants and needs of businesses and organizations in this area. She worked out of her home in Warkworth under the company name of Schelle Graphic Arts Solutions. The client list expanded to include many local businesses, organizations and even clients from the GTA. Schelle Graphic Arts Solutions quickly outgrew the home office.
